FORUM THEATRE – “MINUS”

"MINUS" is a piece of Forum Theatre where we create a dialogical and transformative experience with the audience, which stimulates interactive learning and allows them to become critical thinkers as well as active learners. It turns passive spectators to become ‘actors’ by allowing them on stage to replace actors and change the outcome of the play. “MINUS” depicts the trafficking of an Indonesian minor to Singapore to work in the sex industry. It was produced in collaboration with BUDS Theatre and was first performed at the Forum Theatre Festival in July 2015.

If you are interested in using “MINUS” to raise awareness or would like to find out more, please contact Sylvia.lee@emancipasia.org.

Film Series HUMAN TRAFFICKING FILM FORUM

EmancipAsia has carefully selected a series of powerful films from different countries that we feel convey the issue well. Often told through the eyes of a victim, immerse yourself in these films to learn incredible stories of tragedy, courage, and hope.

Exhibition BOUGHT AND SOLD - VOICES OF HUMAN TRAFFICKING

Seasoned photographer Kay Chernush presents her dazzling interpretation of Human Trafficking through a visual exhibit combining images and survivor narratives. The “Bought and Sold” exhibit does not reveal survivors’ identities. Instead, Chernush focuses on individual experiences as she does not want the survivors to be re-exploited by revealing their identities.
